This oven has worked pretty well over the years. I don't like how the glass on the top can get scratched so easily. It's impossible to get it looking like new again just by cleaning it or using their special paste to clean off the glass. Functionally speaking, it's been pretty reliable, though. I did have one of the electric burners crap out on me a while back, but I was able to find a replacement easy enough and replace it by myself. Also, documented here, I had to replace the hinges.
There's some good info about the parts here from sears, which is pretty nice. I don't usually find so much info on the manufacturer's websites for things. I couldn't find the service manual, mainly because I haven't really needed it yet, but you can download the standard Use and Care manual here. I saved it in case it disappears from the internet.
For this oven, I was able to find the model number on the bottom right of the frame behind the storage drawer. So, pull out the storage drawer and there's a sticker on the right-hand side. You can see my model number is LGEF3043KFC.
This oven has been great overall but it got to a point where it was making a loud banging sound inside the oven door when opening and closing it. I had no idea how the hinge system worked and had never even taken the oven door off before until I decided I was going to fix this problem. I found this on ebay. I couldn't find the exact hinges, but somehow I found the new "replacement" part number/kit for my model. As a result I had to change not only the hinges out, but the part on the oven frame that the hinges attached to. A little more work, but it worked out in the end. I pretty much just followed this youtube video. I don't like using other people's content in case they decide to take it down and then I have a broken link on my page, but I still don't have a good way of making my own videos. Hopefully repairclinic.com doesn't go out of business and pull their videos any time soon.
A couple things to note on this process:
The edges once you get in there are definitely sharp. The part where you take the whole back off off the glass and carry it away means you're carrying it by the sharp edges, so I was a little frantic to put it down.
Make sure your screwdriver tip matches the screw head exactly and are relatively new. These are self tapping screws and the holes are not threaded, so you need to be able to put some force on the screw to make it turn. I almost stripped it a couple of times during the process.
