I'm always fixing stuff around the house because I can't stand replacing a reliable appliance with a new one that hasn't stood the test of time. If I have to fix/replace a single component on an appliance after 5 years, then I know at least that one component is good to go for another 5. Also, I'm cheap by necessity, ie, I'm functionally broke. So, if it's cheaper to fix then replace, I'm definitely fixing! Here are some of the things I've messed around with and fixed and actually took the time to document here. FYI, the banner image above is not my kitchen. It's just some picture I got off the internet. I like to use my own images when i can, but my kitchen seems like it's always in a state of "use" so, whatever, you get the point.
